We are in a picturesque residential community, of nearly 600 homes, in Calaveras County of central California's Sierra Nevada foothills.  Our scenic mountain-forest location is between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park,

and just a few miles east of historical downtown Murphys.  Forest Meadows’ 3,300-foot elevation is ideally above the Central Valley fog, yet below the heavy snowline.  Year-round weather is pleasant and mild, with temperatures ranging from the mid-30s to 60s F during the winter months and 70's to upper 90's F in the summer.  Annual rainfall averages 42-inches with snowfall averaging 20-inches per year.

Our community amenities include:

  • Privacy Gate Entrance
  • Private roads with patrols
  • Walking trails and an off-leash dog park
  • A community clubhouse for Resident meetings, parties, hobby classes, poker nights, group exercising and more
  • Two community parks, featuring swimming pools, tennis and bocce ball courts, horseshoe pits, children's playgrounds, basketball and pickleball courts, and picnic areas with barbecue grills
